Presently the College is situated in a sprawling campus of nearly 4.4 acres of lush flat land with adequate buildings and other supportive facilities. During the two decades of its existence, the college has built up nearly 2000 sq. m of covered area to accommodate its functional units. It is interesting to note that three blocs of buildings were constructed under the Janmabhoomi programme and another bloc was added with financial assistance from the local area development fund of the M. P., Sri Venkataswamy
Initially there were only BA and B.Com courses. In 1997, B.Sc. was introduced with two combinations, namely, Physics-Chemistry-Mathematics and Botany-Zoology- Chemistry. Eight years late in 2005, the College dared to start B.Sc. Microbiology on self-financing (SF) basis. Today the College has strength of 1063 students though it had a much humbler beginning with only limited number of students twenty years earlier. The percentage of girl students, almost 45 % is satisfactory. The college has 13 departments in three faculties. There are three departments in language (English, Telugu and Hindi), six departments in Science (Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Zoology, Botany, Microbiology, Computer Application) and three departments in Arts (History, Economics, Public Administration and Sales Management.) There is also the department of Commerce offering B. Com. Adequate laboratory facilities are available for all the courses.
The central library is reasonably good with nearly 7000 books and with about 20 journals and magazines besides newspapers in English and Telugu. The college has 21 computers and one Internet connection but a formal computer central facility is yet to develop. Health facility is available with doctors visiting the institution occasionally. Canteen is satisfactory to meet the demands of the students and the staff. A parking shed provides enough space for parking different types of vehicles both of the students and of the faculty members. Sports facilities are developed well with courts for cricket, football, hockey, volleyball, kho-kho, kabaddi etc and with separate gymnasium. Sports facilities occupy more than half the land at the disposal of the institution.
There are 12 permanent faculty members out of which 2 hold Ph. D. There is one part-time teacher in addition to 10 arranged teachers. Though a Govt. College, the number of female teachers is relatively low. The college follows the annual pattern of examination as prescribed by the Kakatiya University, Warangal to which it is affiliated. About 60% of the students pass in the final annual exams, Arts students doing better (more than 70%) than Science students (below 40%) and about one-fourth of them secure first class is reportedly a better result when compared to university average.
